HERE YOU CAN READ ABOUT THE MORE SUSTAINABLE MATERIALS WE OFFER AT NELLY:

LENZING™ ECOVERO™ Viscose

LENZING™ ECOVERO™ is a viscose fiber made from natural and renewable raw material from wood. All cellulose comes from certified or sustainably grown forests. It is manufactured in a closed system where the amount of chemicals is significantly less than traditional viscose.

In addition, these chemicals are widely recycled. The technology has lower CO2 emissions than conventional viscose. The fiber is certified under the EU's official eco-label, the EU Ecolabel. This label is awarded to products with significantly lower environmental impact throughout their life cycle. The fiber is also traceable from raw material to end product. LENZING™ and ECOVERO™ are both registered trademarks owned by Lenzing AG.

TENCEL™ MODAL

TENCEL™ MODAL is a viscose fiber produced from natural and renewable raw materials, mainly beech trees. All raw material used in fiber production comes from certified and more sustainably grown forests. It is manufactured in a closed system where the amount of chemicals is significantly less than traditional viscose and is widely recycled. The fiber is certified under the EU's official eco-label, the EU Ecolabel. This label is awarded to products with significantly lower environmental impact throughout their life cycle. TENCEL™ is the brand name for Lenzing's variants of the fibers Modal and Lyocell.

TENCEL™ LYOCELL

TENCEL™ LYOCELL is a cellulose fiber produced from natural and renewable raw material from wood. All cellulose comes from certified or sustainably grown forests. The fiber is manufactured in a closed system where 99% of the water and solvents required in the manufacturing process are recycled.

The fiber is certified under the official EU Ecolabel. This label is awarded to products with significantly lower environmental impact throughout their life cycle. TENCEL™ is the brand name for Lenzing's Modal and Lyocell fiber variants.

Recycled polyester

Recycled polyester is a synthetic fiber made from oil-based waste, such as old PET bottles or polyester clothing. By using recycled polyester, we use resources already produced and reduce the amount of plastic waste going to landfill.

Recycled polyamide

Recycled polyamide is made from waste materials from production, such as fishing nets and manufacturing residues from factories. Polyamide is an oil-based synthetic fiber. The quality of the fiber is as good as new polyamide. By using recycled polyamide, we make use of resources already produced.

Recycled cotton

Recycled cotton is made from waste from the cutting process or used textiles that have been re-spun and woven into new material. To preserve the strength of the cotton, recycled cotton is usually blended with new cotton or other materials. By using recycled cotton, we make use of resources already produced.

Organic cotton

Organic cotton is grown without chemical pesticides or fertilizers and is free from genetically modified seeds. Organic cotton is largely watered by rain, which means less irrigation than conventional cotton.

Better cotton cultivated cotton

Here at Nelly we are proud members of the non-profit organization Better Cotton. They work for a better future for both people and communities with cotton-producing farms and for the industry in which cotton plays an important role. Better Cotton trains farmers to use water efficiently, care for the health of the soil, reduce the use of harmful chemicals and respect the welfare and rights of workers. Better Cotton comes from a mass balance system and is currently not physically traceable to the final product. At Nelly, we intend to support Better Cotton with 100% of our cotton by 2025 (for our own brands).
